I had expected to see more of Sausalito residential areas and "nicer" spots. I know it is hard to navigate hills, but I did expected to see more variety of things along the way. I did think our tour guide did a nice job with the route as it was, but I would have liked a more interesting route, and more info about those that live a more high end life style there. I think seeing the houseboats was interesting, but there is a lot more to the area than that lifestyle!
My 14 year old son loved trying the segways. It was worth it just to see his smile!

Our Segway tour of Sausalito was a blast. We were six "50 something" adults who felt like kids zooming around the waterfront. Our guide made learning the segway's operation fun and w/in just a few minutes each of us was ready to go. The tour was 3 hours long w/ frequent stops at points of interest w/ our guide providing many facts and details along the way. We're always looking for unusual things to do and the Segway tour was simply more fun than a bunch of friends should be allowed to have. The Sausalito Segway Tour is the newest way to explore Sausalito. Tours includes 45 minutes of orientation and training. We offer the 1st Segway tour of Sausalito! Sausalito Guided Segway Tour departures: April through October tours depart daily at 11:30 am. From November until March tours depart Wednesday,
Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 am.
For Segway Tour: All guests must be at least 12 years old AND weigh between 100 - 250 lbs. (45 - 113 kg.) No refunds if you do not meet these criteria. For rider safety please no flip flops, sandals or high heel shoes.
Departure Dates and Times: April through October tours depart daily at 11:30 am. e require 6 guests to run the Sausalito Tour. Individual reservations will be combined into groups of 6 as needed. Closed Christmas and New Years Day SAUSALITO LOCATION: Segway Tours depart from 1000 Bridgeway at the corner of Bridgeway and Caledonia Street. Look for the Segway Guide / Van in the large public parking lot behind Caffe Trieste. Two blocks north of the Sausalito Ferry Terminal. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12- 24 hours subject to availability. Who can ride a Segway? Are Segways safe for children or people with disabilities? Riding a Segway is similar to riding a bike-it's intuitive but nobody is born knowing how to operate it. That's why we offer 35-45 minutes of training so you can get familiar with riding a Segway. A Segway is not an ideal mode of touring for people with some mobility issues. Segway riding is not recommended for pregnant women. Unfortunately, pregnant women will not be permitted to participate. All guests must be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without any assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without assistance or use of a handrail. Rider must be able to operate the steering control with his or her left hand. The Segway is not appropriate for those weighing under 100 pounds or over 250 pounds(46-113 kilos.) Helmets and reflective vests are provided and required. We do require that all riders be at least 12 years old. Riders under 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian.
